Not just a building but an opportunity
A company's headquarters is more than just a place to work but rather is a structure that helps build a culture and drive an organization forward. In 2021, Industry West co-founders Jordan and Anne England came across an opportunity to shape a culture while restoring one of the few commercial buildings remaining in Florida's old city of “South Jacksonville.”
A Heritage Infused Workspace
In 2022 Industry West took on the project: The fusion of history and modernity in renovating the more than 100-year-old structure in the heart of Jacksonville, Fl. Today, Industry West's headquarters is housed within that meticulously restored structure. As a collaborative work environment, the state of the art headquarters provides an inspiring space to help our customers furnish their projects with intention.
THIS WAS NOT JUST ANOTHER OFFICE PROJECT. THIS WAS AN UNDERTAKING THAT REQUIRED US TO BE CONSIDERATE OF ONE OF THE OLDEST BUILDINGS IN ONE OF THE OLDEST CITIES IN NORTH AMERICA.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The structure now boasts a blend of preserved and new architectural features including the original brick façade, a stadium seating grand staircase, and a new skylight.
The adaptive, reuse project converted the entirety of the three-story, 11,702-square-foot building.
The Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission approved a Certificate of Appropriateness for the project in June 2021 for changes to the structure’s exterior.
